Jamie emerged from her car and walked toward the house. She had just returned from Imperial Chinese Restaurant with Nicole. The food had been great; despite her previous disliking to foreign foods. Nicole had begged her to go there, saying she had went just last week and it had been great. So she had caved, wanting to find a suitable place to let Nicole know the news. And just like she had said, the food was really good. They had also each gotten a fortune cookie. She didnt believe in the stuff, but she'd did it anyway just for fun. Opening hers, she sat the cookie down and read the slip of paper. The course of true love never did run smooth. She'd smiled and said to Nicole "Hey, I thought these were supposed to be like Ancient Chinese Proverbs or something, not Shakespeare". She agreed with a laugh and broke hers open. When Jamie had asked what it said, she merely responded with a quiet "Nothing". Brushing it off, Jamie decided it was time to tell her the news. When she was finished Nicole smiled and walked around the table to give Jamie a hug. They had talked about it for a little bit longer and then they had left. Jamie noted that Nicole didnt act nearly as happy as she had the first time she announced her engagement to Nick. But maybe that was why. This wasnt the first time she had gotten engaged so maybe she thought the same thing would happen again. Well it wasnt going to. She wouldnt let it. She was too in love with Nick to let something stop her from marrying him. They had drove down the road in silence, on their way to the boarding school to drop Nicole off. Today was a Monday, but her sister hadnt felt like going to school today, so she had stayed in her room and called Jamie. As soon as she let Nicole out at the school, she started home.
Now she was taking off her shoes, wanting...needing to relax. Before going into the living room, she stopped in the kitchen and gathered her days worth of pills into a pile. Despite the doctor deeming her as 'healthy' she still had to take a ton of pills, most of them she had no idea what for. But if they kept her tumor from coming back, and kept her hair growing, she was going to take them. One at a time, she washed the pills down with a glass of water. Then she took two Advil for a building headache; most likely caused by just everyday stress. Or she hoped it was. Ever since her surgery, she hadnt gotten a single migraine, but headaches would pop up every now and then. And thats how it all had started. Before she could get too deep into her past, Jamie sighed and put the glass in the sink. Walking into the living room, she turned on the light and sat down on the couch. Crossing her legs Indian style, she rubbed the back of her neck. Suddenly, she found herself wondering where Nick was. When she had left a few hours ago, he had been out in the yard working, but when she had returned, she had been too distracted to look for him. It was around three o'clock now, and she tried to figure out if he would still be working. Standing up, she decided to look around rather than just wonder. Walking back out the door, she stepped onto the porch barefoot. Her eyes began to scan the yard for him, unsure of where he would be.

Hanna's black truck and trailor sat next to the barn and Nick was sitting on the fence over at a pasture that was close to the house. Hanna stood in the pasture with 3 huge and gorgeous Fresian colts. 2 of the 3 were traditional black and they were obvious twins by the exact same star that sat on their head. It couldn't fit either anymore perfectly in the same spot, the same size and the same shade. The thrid how ever stood out like a sore thumb. He was even taller than the twins and was white, paper white with absolutly no black on his bodys and his eyes were the most vibrant blue one could see. Hanna took the rope halters off the horses and put them on the gate before sitting next to Nick. "Thanks again for letting me keep them here until the barns done." She said with a thankyou smile and Nick smiled too. "No problem." He said and she slid down off the fence. "I better get going, Dustin is waiting to get his ass kicked." She said with a laugh and Nick nodded. "Don't beat him up too bad, atleast let his ego get knocked down a couple of notches, not all of them." He said with a smirk as Hanna disappeared with the truck and trailor. Nick looked over his shoulder and saw Jamie and automatically, a smile sprang upon his face. Shaymen( Far Left) & Chance (First Horse) Z Blanco Norsk (Ice) -Hanna's best foal that she's bred

Jamie eyes searched for a few more moments then spotted him sitting on a fence. A second later, she spotted Hanna in a pasture with three horses. Even from here, she could tell they were gorgeous. The two black ones caught her eye at first but her gaze soon drifted to the white horse. Its white coat was brilliant, almost hard to look at. She saw Hanna go sit on the fence with Nick but her eyes remained on the horses. She wondered why they were here. Probably just for boarding, like a lot of horses. Murmurs from Nick and Hanna's conversation reached her but she didnt catch any actual words. As she continued looking at the horses, she found herself thinking she liked the white one better. But that was just by looks. Horses were exactly like people; you could judge them by appearance but the personality was usually the most important thing. A horse...or a person with a bad attitude could ruin their outward appearance. When Jamie looked back at Nick, she found that he was alone, Hanna now gone. He glanced over his shoulder and smiled. She returned it and stepped off the porch, walking towards him. When she reached his side she leaned forward, resting her arms on the fence. "Hi" she said, smiling again as she looked up at him. Her gaze shifted forward to the horses. "What are their names?" she asked, looking them over again. From the porch she had saw a white mark on both the black horses foreheads. But now, she saw it was star shaped and they both looked exactly alike. Definitely twins. As she looked at the white one, she found herself wondering how a horse could have such beautiful blue eyes. She had never seen eyes like that; even among humans. Jamie looked at Nick again and found herself smiling, though she had no idea why.

"Hey." He said and hopped down off the fence to stand beside her. "Well..." He said with exaggeration. "The taller of the twins is Shaymen and the smaller one if Chance and the white one is Ice. " He replied and Ice lifted his head and walked along the fence before stopping infront of Jamie and Nick. He took a couple of steps to the fence and lowered his head as Nick rubbed the side of his face. "They're all 4 years old and Ice is currently here to be studded out."
Ice nudged Jamie and suddenly jumped to the side as Toxic ran up to the end of his pasture, teeth bared and ears pinned, before slamming his body into the fence and cracking the board. Ice started to back away with his head low in submission. This times Toxic reared up and was determined to get into their pasture, and before anyone could blink, he was in and chasing Ice. Ice was definetly smarter than Toxic in more than 1 way. He had common knowledge, he was street smart, he was fully trained and definetly had a way to manipulate dumber horses.
As Toxic chased Ice, Shaymen made his way over to Jamie and sniffed her face. Ice ran Toxic in circles, figure 8's, zig-zags and more, but Toxic still had no idea what he was planning. Ice suddenly took off in a dead run and in 2 strides he was in a full out gallop.

Looking at the horses, she nodded as she learned their names. Ice started walking towards them and she smiled. When he stopped in front of Nick, Jamie found herself almost mesmerized by his eyes. He nudged her and she started to reach out to pet him when suddenly Toxic came out of nowhere and rammed the fence. Before she could say anything, he was inside the pasture chasing Ice. "What the hell is wrong with him?!" Jamie said, watching Toxic in shock. She was relieved to see that Ice didnt look too distressed as he ran around the pasture. Suddenly, one of the black horses came up to her and sniffed her. She quickly identified him as Shaymen and rubbed his nose. Her eyes remained on Ice and Toxic as they continued running all over the place. Jamie glanced at Shaymen and shifted her hand to his jaw, now scratching gently. When she looked back to the two horses, Ice was running all out. She silently wondered what he was going to do...The only thing that she could think of was that he was trying to build enough momentum to jump the fence and get away from Toxic. That's what she would do. Jamie couldnt understand why he had done that, he had never acted mean before. Not that she had saw anyway. She was just going to pet Ice, surely Toxic couldnt be that jealous...

Ice suddenly stopped as Toxic chased him, who was also in a gallop, and as Toxic got closer to Ice he jumped behind a tree and Toxic tried to stop but couldn't. After sliding into the large tree and standing still for a minute or two he turned to look at Ice who snorted and pranced back to Shaymen and Chance. Ice had that 'What a Dumb @ss' look on his face and walked over to the fence next to Shaymen.
As Toxic thought he was being sneaky, he quietly walked up behind Ice and within a blink of an eye, Ice's back hooves connected with Toxic's chest and he fell down backwards. Ice snorted as he looked back at Toxic who knew he had been beat, but his attention soon turned as he saw Dream. Toxic stood up and ran over to the fence before nickering but he didn't get a reply from Dream, instead she completely ignored him.
